Y-Tech Marine is delighted to officially announce the Wash & Go wash-down system has joined it’s family of superyacht specific water purification products and services.
The original Wash & Go system has been installed on 100+ vessels and is a must-have time saving device for crew. Now expertly upgraded by Y-Tech Marine CEO and superyacht captain of 25 years Robert Ferris, the Y-Tech Marine Wash & Go includes improved membranes, housings, filters and resins as well as a 100% carbon fibre extendable pole and water-fed brush.
This robust reverse osmosis technology coupled with a safe and powerful delivery system means Wash & Go’s spot-zero water leaves glass and stainless steel with a mirror-like shine without the need to chamois or for abrasive chemicals saving deck crew valuable time and helping paintwork and coatings to stay in better shape for longer. The benefits extend beyond the deck into the interior and galley with spot-free water running through appliances and showers keeping calc at bay and drastically reducing time needed to turndown and detail.
Y-Tech Marine also offers the unique fully bespoke design and installation service so often requested by captains and shipyards. “ Fitting any system onto a yacht requires a certain level of expertise” says Robert “ Understanding the exact needs of the vessel, how the crew operate and integrating with existing systems is key” and now that sustainability has become an industry wide focus more shipyards are requesting a complete pure water system at build stage.
Due to demand from clients, Y-Tech Marine have added a drinking water system to complement the Wash & Go, so that plastic bottled water is no longer a prerequisite. ‘’So many owners and crew are trying to reduce their yachts environmental impact, it is an industry wide shift’’ says Robert ‘’No one wants to see pallets of plastic bottles on the dock, our systems deliver safe, pure water on tap and that not only leads to an improvement in terms of sustainability but also when space is at a premium it’s a godsend for crew not to have to stow extra bottles and trash.’’
